Our Education Department offers programs for students of all ages. Our unique classroom and park environment provides students with hands–on learning focused on the marine ecosystem, its inhabitants, and conservation. It’s an extraordinary, interactive way to delve into the science of the sea.
Internship programs

Internship Programs

We offer several types of un-paid internship opportunities: Marine Mammal Care & Training, Reef & Sea Turtle Care & Training, Seabird Care & Rehabilitation, Veterinary Technician, and Educator Experiences. Many interns receive course credit for their internships. We will be happy to work with your college or university to develop a program tied to your academic goals.
Volunteer at our Touch Pool

Volunteer Programs

Our hands-on volunteer programs offer you the chance to become an Education Docent, Reef Life Assistant, Coastal Hawaiian Gardener or caregiver at the Seabird Rehabilitation Facility. As the backbone to some of our departments, volunteers play a crucial role within our organization in the areas of conservational education, hospitality, animal care, and community outreach.
