COMING UP: The best land-based Whale Watching Weekends

All About Whales! Plan your visit to Sea Life Park during Whale Watching Season in Hawai'i!

Whether you choose to head out on a boat or prefer the ease and comfort of land-based whale watching, Sea Life Park offers a unique and meaningful way to experience Hawaiʻi’s annual humpback whale season.

Overlooking the Kaiwi Coast, Sea Life Park provides prime ocean viewpoints where visitors can often spot humpback whales breaching, tail slapping, and spouting just offshore. It’s whale watching made simple, accessible, and family-friendly.

Sea Life Park is the perfect place to learn All About Whales this season—through engaging educational presentations, interpretive signage, and opportunities to learn from our animal care and education teams about the incredible lives of these ocean giants.

Start your visit on World Whale Day, Sunday, February 15, 2026, and celebrate the remarkable migratory journey of Hawaiian humpback whales (koholā), who travel thousands of miles from Alaska to Hawaiʻi’s warm waters each winter to breed, calve, and nurse their young. Join our education team at Seaside Gardens adjacent Dolphin Lagoon. A limited inventory of shareable binoculars will be available on site, but B.Y.O.B. - Bring Your Own Binoculars! Save the Dates:
