NEWS ON SEA LIFE PARK HAWAII
Madrid, April 23rd, 2008 – Parques Reunidos – main operator in Spain, the second largest in Europe and one of the world leaders on leisure parks operation—has completed as of the last 23rd of April the acquisition of Sea Life Park Hawaii, a world–class family marine park, with entertainment and educational attractions, activities and events.
With this acquisition, Parques Reunidos now runs 62 different parks from all segments within the industry—amusement parks, animal parks, water parks, cable cars, and family entertainment centers distributed in Europe and the US–with a sales average of over EUR 500 million, surpassing 22 million visitors in 2008.
Dolphin Discovery Group is the biggest marine mammals and animal park operator in the world. The Group operates 9 parks and dolphin activity centers located in Mexico and the Caribbean islands, with another one under construction in Grand Cayman Island. Dolphin Discovery Group had almost 1 million visitors in 2007.
