Caring for Honu
Honu, the Hawaiian green sea turtle, are at the heart of Sea Life Park’s conservation work. Through our conservation and breeding program, young honu are raised with expert care until they are ready to return to the ocean.
Every release is a step toward healthy honu populations in Hawaiian waters — and a chance to share with our community why these animals matter.

About Waimānalo Limu Hui
Waimānalo Limu Hui works to restore limu (native seaweed) along the Waimānalo shoreline, hosting monthly limu plantings and quarterly Pāhonu restoration workdays with its home nonprofit, Ke Kula Nui O Waimānalo.
As the Hui celebrates its 9th anniversary, everyone is invited to get involved — come plant limu and help care for the coastline we share.
