About Aloha Kai Lū'au

Aloha Kai Lūʻau at Sea Life Park Hawaiʻi

An Authentic Oceanfront Lūʻau on Oʻahu

The Aloha Kai Lūʻau at Sea Life Park Hawaiʻi invites guests on an unforgettable cultural journey through Polynesia—guided by the ocean that connects its people, stories, and traditions. Set on Oʻahu’s scenic windward coast, this immersive lūʻau blends authentic Hawaiian culture with world-class entertainment in a breathtaking natural setting.

The Aloha Kai Lūʻau features powerful Polynesian choreography, vibrant traditional costuming, and live music, culminating in a dazzling finale set to an original theme song created exclusively for the experience. The lūʻau is held in Makapuʻu Meadows, an open-air, starlit venue overlooking the Pacific Ocean and framed by the dramatic Koʻolau Mountains—making it one of the most scenic oceanfront lūʻau experiences on Oʻahu.

A centerpiece of the evening is the traditional imu ceremony, featuring kalua pork slow-cooked in an underground oven. Aloha Kai Lūʻau offers one of the few true imu-prepared kalua pig experiences on Oʻahu, presented in a way that honors time-honored Hawaiian culinary traditions. The island-inspired menu also includes a vegan curry option to accommodate a range of dietary preferences.

Perfect for visitors looking for an authentic Hawaiian lūʻau near Waikīkī, a family-friendly cultural experience, or a must-do evening activity on Oʻahu, Aloha Kai Lūʻau delivers a memorable night of food, music, storytelling, and aloha—set where the mountains meet the sea.

From champion fire-knife dancers to graceful hula, the stage is set for an unforgettable evening at Aloha Kai Lūʻau—where traditional Polynesian music meets original compositions created exclusively for the show.

The lūʻau is offered four nights per week—Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, making it an ideal midweek or weekend evening experience on Oʻahu. The festivities begin with unique cultural performances, including coconut tree climbing, followed by a bountiful island-style buffet and a dynamic Polynesian stage production.

Guests are invited to take part in complimentary hands-on cultural activities, including coconut leaf weaving, kupeʻe making (traditional wrist and ankle lei), ʻukulele lessons, ʻulu maika (Hawaiian bowling), and fish-net throwing—interactive experiences that make this lūʻau especially engaging for families and first-time visitors to Hawaiʻi.

All Aloha Kai Lūʻau packages include complimentary daytime admission to Sea Life Park Hawaiʻi, allowing guests to enjoy the park’s marine life exhibits and oceanfront views earlier in the day before returning for an evening of food, culture, and entertainment.

Aloha Kai Luau Guest Reviews Online:

Magical evening under the stars | This Luau was recommended by our concierge from our hotel. I'm so glad she did as it was an incredible experience. The views on the way to the Park are breathtaking and then there is the backdrop at the location of the Luau, just absolutely stunning .The entire evening was magical and a true highlight of our trip. The food, the performances and the dancers made for a memorable evening. I highly recommend checking it out. I'm also a big Adam Sandler fan so it was an added bonus to be on a film location from 50 first Dates. -- Emsmum10
